Iranian 'morality police' wrestles with woman sparks outrage

A video film of a young lady being wrestled to the floor by Iranian "ethical quality police" since her hijab was free has startled shock after it was posted on the web.

The recording demonstrates individuals from the extraordinary task force handling the lady, accepted to be in her mid-20s, in Tehran. Under Iranian law, it is mandatory for ladies to cover themselves from head to toe whilst outside.

The video indicates two youthful companions, one wearing a maghnaeh (a pious devotee's cowl) and the other wearing a free headscarf that uncovers some portion of her hair. The last is verbally forewarned, before a female cop slaps her in the face and wrestles her to the floor. The young lady is heard shouting over again: "Let me go, let me go, ladies ought not need to dress unassumingly".

Masoumeh Ebtekar, Iran's VP for ladies' undertakings, criticized the treatment of the young lady on Twitter. "How could this treatment be legitimized?" she tweeted. "Regardless of whether they were offended, should the police respond this way? I completely denounce this conduct and will seek after the issue. This is a cruel and against religious treatment that no human merits."

The recording demonstrates one of the young ladies debilitating the police with lawful activity, to which an officer can be heard reacting: "You can't complete a damn poo."

The episode, which occurred on Wednesday, developed a couple of months after scores of ladies organized challenges crosswise over Iran in which they got on to telecom boxes, removed their headscarves and waved them high up on sticks. In February, Iran said it had arrested 29 women accused of being “deceived” into joining the telecoms box protests. Many are still in jail and some have been given lengthy prison terms.
